Checking Yourself!

Do you ever stop and think why you hold certain beliefs about something? Is it because of something you heard or witnessed as a child by one or both of your parents? Did you hear it at school from a teacher or other adult in your life at the time? As children and into our teenage years, we tend to believe pretty much everything we hear and are told by adults and others in authority or leadership roles. They were older than us so therefore we think they knew more and have the "right" answers.

Interestingly, a lot of what we were told as children, the adults were also told when they were children. Beliefs can have the tendency to be passed down from generation to generation. As we grow into young adults and throughout our adult life, it is very important to evaluate your beliefs and ask yourself, "is this belief something I was told and just accepted? Where did this belief come from? Is it still true today? Do I agree with this belief? Is this belief holding me back in any way?

As we grow and mature, so should our beliefs. We also live in a rapidly changing world. Sometimes the way something worked best yesterday is no longer the case today! #soundtherapy #soundhealing #holistichealth #healingsound #mentalhealth #emotionalhealth #positivethinking #positivevibes #goodlife
